• ⏰Are you ready for December 31?
  If you need to consolidate your federal loans to qualify for the one-time payment count adjustment, do it by December 31—ideally before.
  
  Also if your loans are in default and you want to apply for the Fresh Start Program, December 31 is your deadline too.
  

• ❌They’re trying to block SAVE (again)
  The House passed a measure attempting to block the SAVE plan. But this isn’t Biden’s first rodeo. In a statement, the White House disapproved of the action and vowed to veto it. And for what it’s worth, I don’t think SAVE is at risk.

• 🆕Forgiveness updates
  We won’t have all the details on the new forgiveness plan until mid 2024. But the final round of debt relief discussions have started, and their last meeting was Monday. Here are the highlights:
